ACTS – of The Challengers’ quest is to support the positive development of disadvantaged students at CMS who are at risk of failing by providing constructive personal coaching, through productive mentoring relationships, and structured enrichment activities. These supplemental educational activities, coupled with strong mentor relationships are designed to reinforce the link between home and school. ACTS goal is to enhance academic achievement and provide practical alternatives to possible teen parenthood, juvenile delinquency and gang participation. As a result of involvement in this initiative the students and adults will gain new perspectives, increased aspirations, expectations and self-fulfillment.
